Sacramental Preparation is only intended for persons who desire to receive a Sacrament for the first time. For youth, Sacramental Preparation for First Communion and Confirmation usually consists of 6 to 8 sacrament-specific classes and 1 or 2 sacrament-specific retreats. Classes are held once-a-month. These classes and retreats are only for the youth that will receive a sacrament within that particular school year and this program necessitates a completely different registration process.

TWO YEAR PRE-REQUISITE FOR SACRAMENTS
We generally require at least TWO YEARS of Systematic Catechesis (weekly Faith Formation sessions) prior to the reception of First Communion and Confirmation. This includes the year in which the sacrament is received. However, we hope that the youth participate in weekly Faith Formation sessions EVERY YEAR. Many parents find it easiest to set that expectation when their children are at an early age and keep it going through junior high and high school.
